Email Confirmation
You've signed up — great start! Now there's one small but important step left: confirming your email address. Think of it as a digital handshake between you and WantVisit.
Why Confirm Your Email
Confirming your email isn't just bureaucratic hoop-jumping. It actually matters:
- Security — it proves you own the email address, keeping your account safe from imposters
- Notifications — you'll receive appointment updates, reminders, and other important messages
- Account recovery — if you ever forget your password (no judgment), a confirmed email is how you get back in
INFO
Until you confirm your email, some features may be limited. It's worth doing right away.
The Yellow Warning Banner
If your email isn't confirmed yet, you'll notice a yellow banner at the top of every page. It's polite but persistent — kind of like a friendly reminder from a colleague who really wants you to RSVP.
The banner reads:
"User is not confirmed."
Right next to it, you'll see a "Confirm" button. Click it to start the confirmation process.
Entering the Code
Here's how to confirm your email:
- Click the "Confirm" button on the yellow banner, or navigate to Profile > Confirm manually.
- Check your email inbox for a message from WantVisit containing your confirmation code.
- Enter the code in the confirmation field.
- Submit — and you're confirmed!
The yellow banner will disappear, and you'll have full access to all features.
Troubleshooting
Email didn't arrive? Don't panic. Try these steps:
Check your spam folder
Email providers can be overly cautious sometimes. Look in your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folder.
Verify your email address
Go to your Profile settings and double-check that the email address is spelled correctly. A single typo is all it takes (we've seen "gmial.com" more times than we can count).
Request a new code
If the code has expired or you simply can't find the email, request a new confirmation code from the confirmation page.
