Company Settings
A company is the top-level entity in WantVisit. Everything else — locations, employees, services, appointments — lives under a company. Whether you run a single nail salon or a chain of barbershops across the city, this is where it all begins.
Overview
You can create and manage multiple companies from a single WantVisit account. Each company operates independently with its own:
- Locations (branches)
- Employees
- Services and service groups
- Appointments and client data
- Notification and promotion settings
This makes it easy to manage completely separate businesses from one dashboard — no need to juggle multiple accounts.
Creating a Company
Setting up a new company takes just a few seconds:
- Click "Create a new company"
- Enter the company name
- Click "Create"
That's it. Your company is ready. The next step is usually to add a location (see Branches / Locations).
Notification Settings
Stay in the loop — or don't. It's up to you.
For each company, you can configure how notifications are sent:
- Toggle notifications on or off entirely
- Choose the notification type:
- Email & SMS — get notified through both channels
- Email only — notifications via email
- SMS only — notifications via text message
Notifications keep you informed about new appointments, cancellations, and other important events. We recommend keeping them on — surprises are great for birthdays, not for missed appointments.
Promotion Settings
Promotions help you bring back clients who haven't visited in a while. A gentle "We miss you" nudge can work wonders.
To configure promotions:
- Enable or disable the promotion feature for the company
- Set the promotion interval (in days) — this determines how many days after a client's last visit they'll receive a promotional message
For example, setting the interval to 30 means clients who haven't booked in 30 days will get a promotional message. Set it to a value that makes sense for your business — a monthly haircut place might use 30 days, while a seasonal spa might go with 90.
INFO
Promotional messages are only sent for services that have the "Promote" option enabled. You can control this per service in Services settings.
Editing a Company
Need to update your company name or settings?
- Find the company card on the settings page
- Click the edit button on the card
- Make your changes
- Save
Deleting a Company
Sometimes you need to close a chapter. To delete a company:
- Click the delete button on the company card
- Confirm your decision in the dialog that appears
WARNING
Deleting a company removes all its locations, employees, services, and appointment data. This action cannot be undone.
Take a moment before confirming. There's no "oops" button for this one. If you just want to pause operations, consider disabling notifications and promotions instead of deleting the entire company.
