Privacy & Data

The Privacy & Data section lets you manage your personal data in accordance with GDPR and other data protection regulations. Here you can review your consents, export your data, or delete your account. Think of it as your privacy control center — everything in one place.

Accessing Privacy Settings

To open your privacy settings:

1. Open the sidebar menu on the left
2. Navigate to Settings > Privacy & Data

You'll see a page with all the tools for managing your personal data.

Consent Management

Data Processing Consent

When you register, you give consent for processing the personal data necessary for the service to function. This consent covers:

• Storing profile data (name, email, phone number)
• Processing appointment and client interaction data
• Storing company and location information

Your consent status is displayed on the page. Withdrawing your primary consent is equivalent to deleting your account, since the service cannot operate without processing your data.

Marketing Communications

Separately from the primary consent, you can manage marketing communications:

• Enabled — you receive product news, updates, and special offers
• Disabled — only service notifications (appointment confirmations, password resets, etc.)

You can toggle marketing communications at any time. Changes take effect immediately.

TIP

Disabling marketing communications does not affect service notifications — you'll still receive appointment confirmations and other essential system messages.

Data Export

You have the right to obtain a copy of all personal data stored in the system. To export your data:

1. Click the Export Data button
2. The system will prepare a file with your data
3. Download the ready file in JSON format

TIP

The export includes all your personal data: profile, companies, appointments, and reviews in JSON format. File preparation may take a few minutes depending on the volume of data.

Data export is your right under Article 20 of GDPR (right to data portability). You can request an export at any time without limitations.

Account Deletion

If you want to stop using WantVisit and delete all your data:

1. Click the Delete Account button
2. Carefully read the warning about the consequences
3. Confirm your decision

After confirmation:

• All your personal data will be anonymized
• Profile data (name, email, phone number) will be permanently deleted
• Appointments and reviews will be retained in anonymized form for accurate statistics
• Logging into the account will no longer be possible

WARNING

Account deletion is irreversible. All your personal data will be anonymized and cannot be recovered. Make sure you have exported any data you need before proceeding with deletion.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access (Art. 15) — you can request information about what data is stored about you and how it is processed
• Right to rectification (Art. 16) — you can correct inaccurate or incomplete data in the Profile section
• Right to erasure (Art. 17) — you can request deletion of all your personal data through the account deletion feature
• Right to data portability (Art. 20) — you can export your data in a machine-readable format (JSON) through the export feature
• Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7) — you can withdraw your consent for data processing at any time
