Onboarding
After your first login, WantVisit greets you with a step-by-step onboarding wizard. It walks you through the initial setup — just a few clicks and you'll be ready to accept bookings.
How It Works
When you log in for the first time, you'll see a full-screen onboarding wizard with:
- A progress bar at the top showing your overall progress
- Step indicator icons at the bottom (company, location, employees, schedule, groups, services) showing which of the 6 steps you're on
- A motivational counter — e.g., "4 of 6 steps left", "Almost there! 2 steps left", or "Last step!"
The wizard ensures your booking system is properly set up before clients start rolling in.
INFO
The wizard appears automatically after your first login. You can exit at any time by clicking the button in the top-right corner — if a company has already been created, your progress will be saved.
Welcome Screen
The onboarding starts with a Welcome screen — "Welcome to WantVisit!" — listing the five key areas you'll configure:
- Company creation
- Location setup
- Employees
- Schedule
- Services
Click "Get Started" to begin.
Step 1: Create a Company
Every great business starts with a name.
- Enter your company name (up to 64 characters).
- Click "Next".
TIP
Pick a company name your clients will recognize. If your salon is called "Golden Scissors" on the sign outside, use that — not "LLC Haircut Solutions International."
Step 2: Add a Location
Your company needs at least one branch or location — even if you only have one.
- Enter the location name (e.g., "Main Office", "Downtown Branch").
- Add a description for the branch.
- Provide email and phone number — these are pre-filled from your profile.
- Select a country from the dropdown.
- Enter the city and optionally the address.
- Set your working hours (e.g., "09:00 - 18:00").
- Choose the timezone — auto-detected by default.
- Select the language and currency (currency is auto-filled based on the selected country).
TIP
If you have multiple branches, don't worry — you can add more locations later from Settings.
Step 3: Add an Employee
Time to add the people who make the magic happen.
- Select a user from the list of company users.
- They will be linked to your location as an active employee.
INFO
The employee you add here will be able to receive appointments. You can always add more team members later.
Step 4: Set Work Schedule
Define the working days and hours for the employee.
- Select working days — click the day buttons (Mon–Sun). Monday through Friday are selected by default.
- Set the start and end time for the workday. Default is 09:00–18:00.
TIP
You can skip this step by clicking "Skip". The schedule can always be configured later in Employee Schedule settings.
Step 5: Create a Service Group
Groups help organize your services into categories.
- Enter the group name (e.g., "Haircuts", "Coloring", "Spa Treatments").
- Add a description for the group.
Creating groups keeps your service menu tidy and makes it easier for clients to find what they're looking for.
Step 6: Add Your First Service
Now create a service that your clients can book.
- Enter the service name (e.g., "Classic Manicure").
- Add a description.
- Set the duration — how long the service takes.
- Set the price.
TIP
Make sure to add services before embedding the booking widget on your website. No services = nothing for clients to book!
Setup Complete
After completing all the steps, you'll see a "You're all set!" screen with a celebratory confetti animation. Your business is ready to accept bookings!
The final screen provides quick actions:
- Open Calendar — go to the Calendar and start working
- Go to Settings — go to Settings for additional configuration
- Go to Dashboard — go to the Dashboard
WARNING
All settings can be adjusted at any time from the Settings section. The onboarding is a quick start, not a final configuration.
